Quick Quote: a solar quotation draft from a monthly bill
Quick Quote needs four inputs: customer name, phone number, monthly electricity bill and the customer's state. It estimates the system capacity from the bill, creates the customer, prices a residential on-grid standard-tier system from your price book and saves a draft for you to review. It never finalizes on its own.

What happens behind the form
Quick Quote does nothing a person could not do by hand. It works in a fixed order so that a missing price cannot leave a half-finished record behind:
- It estimates capacity from the monthly bill
- It looks up the rates for a residential, on-grid, standard-tier system of that size in your price book
- It creates the customer with the name, phone and state you entered
- It saves a draft quotation and opens it in the normal editor
What must be set up first
Your company's state must be set, because GST depends on it. Your catalog needs at least one module specification, one module brand and one inverter brand. Your price book needs a row that covers the estimated capacity. If any of these is missing, Quick Quote says which one and links to the right settings page.
A starting point, not a design
The capacity is an estimate from a bill, not a site survey. Review it, switch the installation type, system mode or tier in the editor if the job needs it, and finalize only when the numbers are right.
Step by step
Enter four details
Type the customer's name, phone number, monthly electricity bill and state.
Let it estimate and price
Quick Quote estimates the capacity from the bill and looks up the rates for a residential, on-grid, standard-tier system of that size in your price book.
Review the draft
It creates the customer, saves a draft quotation and opens it in the normal editor. It never finalizes on its own.
Adjust and finalize
Change the installation type, system mode or tier if the job needs it, and finalize only when the numbers are right.
Common mistakes
Treating the capacity as a site survey
The capacity is an estimate from a bill. Review it before you rely on it.
Skipping the setup
Quick Quote needs your company's state, catalog entries and a price book row that covers the estimated capacity. If one is missing it says which and links to the right settings page.
Expecting it to send the quotation
It only creates a draft, so nothing reaches the customer and no free-plan quotation is used until you finalize.
What to check before you send
- Your company's state is set
- Your catalog has at least one module specification, module brand and inverter brand
- Your price book has a row that covers the estimated capacity
- The customer's name, phone and state were typed correctly
- The installation type, mode and tier in the editor match the job
Frequently asked questions
Does Quick Quote use up my free quotations?
No. It only creates a draft. The monthly cap on the FREE plan is checked when you finalize a quotation.
Can I use it for commercial or hybrid systems?
Quick Quote starts from a residential, on-grid, standard-tier system. Change the type, mode or tier in the editor afterwards.
What if there is no price for the estimated size?
You are told that no price is configured for that capacity and given a link to the pricing settings, or you can use the full builder and enter rates by hand.
