Solar quotation generator: fill a sample quotation
Type a system size, your rates and the GST rates you use, pick the two states, and the page fills a sample quotation with the discounted lines, the CGST and SGST or IGST split, the grand total and the total in words. The company and customer on it are fictional, and it carries a watermark.

How it is calculated
- Each line amount = capacity multiplied by the rate per kilowatt, minus a flat discount. A battery line is unit price multiplied by quantity, minus its discount.
- GST is worked out on each discounted line at the rate you typed for it, and the taxable total is the sum of the lines.
- When your state and the customer's state match, the GST is split into CGST and SGST. Otherwise the whole amount is IGST.
- Grand total = taxable total plus GST. The wording of the total comes from the server's amount-in-words service.
Assumptions
- The company, customer, address and quotation number on the sample are fictional and marked as samples. The preview is watermarked and is not a valid quotation.
- Every figure is typed by you, including every GST rate. This page holds no default price, rate or subsidy amount.
- Totals come from the same calculation service as the GST calculator: each line is discounted, GST is worked out per line, and the same state gives CGST and SGST while different states give IGST.
- Printing uses your browser's print dialogue with only the quotation on the page. Choose save as PDF to keep a copy.
- A real quotation adds your own branding, price book items, bill of materials, terms and signature. The sample leaves those out.
- The calculator does not store what you enter. The shareable link carries your figures in its address, so share it only with people who may see them.

What this demo is
It is a preview, not a document you can send. The totals come from the same calculation service the quotation engine uses, so the layout and the arithmetic show what a real quotation looks like. The company, the customer and the quotation number are made up and are marked as samples.
Printing the sample
The print button opens your browser's print dialogue with only the quotation on the page. Choose save as PDF as the destination to keep a copy. The watermark prints with it, so the sample cannot be mistaken for an offer to a customer.
What a real quotation adds
A real quotation carries your own branding, bank details and signature, items picked from your price book, a bill of materials and terms. It gets a permanent number and a link the customer can open. Bharat Solar Venture keeps those and lets you revise and re-send them.
Frequently asked questions
Is the sample a valid quotation?
No. It is watermarked, it names a fictional customer and company, and it has no real number, terms or signature. It exists to show the layout and the arithmetic, and it is not meant for a customer.
Why is nothing filled in for me?
Prices and tax rates change, so the page does not guess them. Whatever you type is what the sample shows. Check current GST rates on the official sources before you rely on any figure.
Where does the data go?
Your figures are sent to the calculation service to work out the totals and are not used to create an account. Nothing is kept on this page after you leave it, apart from what is in the shareable link you copy.
