Editable terms and conditions for solar quotations
Terms and conditions are stored as sections. Bharat Solar Venture supplies default sections, and you can rewrite, add or remove them in a plain editor with a rendered preview, then save the whole list at once. Your terms are applied when the quotation is finalized and printed on the third page of the PDF.

Sections, not one long block
Each section has a heading and a body, such as validity, warranty, price scope, net metering or payment terms. Keeping them separate makes it easy to change one clause without retyping the rest. The editor shows a rendered preview next to each section, and the whole list is saved in one step.
Defaults and resetting
Until you save your own sections, the platform's default terms are used. If you remove every section and save, your own sections are deleted and the defaults are served again, which is the way to start over.
Example: terms for a solar pump sale
The editor does not know what you sell, so a pump dealer writes the sections around the sale. The editor keeps one list of sections and saves it as a whole, so the pump wording sits in the same list as any other terms you print.
Write each section in plain words the farmer can follow, and have your own advisor review the wording, because the defaults are starting text, not legal advice. A set for a pump sale might have sections such as:
- Validity: how long the quotation stays open
- Scope of supply: the pump, the drive and the other items in the bill of materials, so the farmer can see what the price covers
- Warranty: which items carry a warranty, who provides it and what it does not cover, written from the warranty documents you actually hold
- Payment terms: when each payment falls due, as you agreed it with the farmer
- Subsidy, if a scheme applies: that the official scheme decides any subsidy amount
Safe to paste into
Section text is cleaned before it is stored and rendered, so pasted formatting cannot break the PDF layout. The default wording is a starting point for you to adapt, not legal advice.
Common mistakes
Editing terms after finalizing
Terms are applied when a quotation is finalized and the PDF is made from a snapshot, so edit your terms first.
Deleting every section by accident
After you save an empty list, your own sections are removed and the platform defaults are used again.
Treating the default wording as legal advice
The defaults are starting text for you to adapt. Have your own advisor review what you send to customers.
Writing a warranty section from memory
Base the warranty section on the warranty documents you actually hold, and have your own advisor review the wording.
What to check before you send
- Each section has a clear heading and body, for example validity, warranty, price scope, net metering and payment terms
- The rendered preview of every section reads correctly
- Your own advisor has reviewed the wording
- You saved the whole list before finalizing the quotation
- For a pump sale, the warranty section is written from the warranty documents you hold
Frequently asked questions
Are the default terms legal advice?
No. They are starting text. Have your own advisor review the terms you send to customers.
Do edits change quotations I already sent?
Terms are applied when a quotation is finalized and the PDF is created from a snapshot, so edit your terms before you finalize.
What happens if I delete all my sections?
After saving, your own sections are removed and the platform defaults are used again.
What terms and warranty should a solar pump quotation include?
Use the same kinds of section as any quotation, such as validity, scope of supply, warranty and payment terms, and write them for the pump sale. Base the warranty on the documents you hold, and have your own advisor review the wording.
