PM Surya Ghar: meaning in solar

PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana is the central government's residential rooftop solar scheme. It pays a subsidy to the household after the system is commissioned, through a national portal, and needs a registered vendor, a grid connection with net metering and modules that meet the scheme's domestic content condition.

In more detail

The customer pays the installer in full and receives the subsidy afterwards, so a quotation should never present the subsidy as a discount on the price.

The amounts and the steps are set by the scheme and by state agencies, and they change. This site shows the rules it holds, with a verification status, on the subsidy pages instead of in a definition.

Where it shows up in the app

A quotation can show an indicative subsidy estimate with a note on the conditions. The estimate is a guide and the final amount follows ministry and state guidelines.

Official sources

Rules and lists change by dated order. Confirm the current position at the source before you rely on it for a customer.
